- The NCC Waste Reduction System consists of a Scrapping Trough, Grinding Chamber, Water Press and Remote Control Panel that drastically reduces high-volume waste and the rising cost of waste management.

GRINDING CHAMBER
- 5 H.P., T.E.F. and water-cooled motor. Unit to have built-in manual reset thermal overload protection. Exterior housing to be permanent molded body, fabricated from heat-treated, corrosion-resistant, polished, paint-free, aluminum alloy. Shredder and rotor to be 10" diameter, high strength, wear resistant, hardened carbide alloy. Top shall have tapered roller bearing. Bottom to have sealed ball bearings. The motor seal shall be a patented air/water seal. Provide a rubber gasket between the Grinding Chamber sink and the Grinding Chamber to reduce noise and vibration. Grinding Chamber to have a (6") (8")(10") throat (select desired throat size), and dual direction grinding to extend blade life. Provide a hinged cover with safety interlock over the entry to the grinding chamber. The Grinding Chamber shall be U.L. Listed.
WATER PRESS
- Shall have a welded 1-1/4" tubular stainless steel welded frame and 7 Ga., welded, stainless steel sump and motor mount. Auger to be 1/8" thick, 6" diameter, stainless steel with 1/4" thick stainless steel flights welded to the auger. Flights to have heavy duty, spiral, nylon brush in a stainless steel spiral housing welded to the underside of the auger flights. Auger system shall turn inside a matching 6" diameter, perforated stainless steel column. Auger motor to be 2 H.P., T.E.F.C. unit with matching gearhead reducer. The system shall be provided with a 1/2 H.P. re-circulating pump and peristaltic deodorizer/defoamer pump with adjustable feed rate control. Provide an in-line strainer to prevent large particles from entering the re-circulating pump and a low-water cutoff to prevent starving the re-circulating pump. As standard equipment provide a 2" brass, ball valve, 1/2", 24V solenoid valve and 1/2", 3 G.P.M. water reduction valve.
The Water Press shall be totally enclosed in #18 Ga., 304, #4 finish stainless steel. All enclosure panels to be removable. Top cover shall have louvered rear for air cooling. The enclosure shall be equipped with two (2) stainless steel , chain-connected, extra-long inspection clean-out doors and stainless steel exit chute with hinged cover and safety interlock.
CONTROL PANEL
- To be a remote, NEMA 4 (watertight), stainless steel, master panel including a main power isolating control switch, illuminated, indicating, automatic fill switch, automatic cutting blade reversing control, automatic, (de-jamming), auger reversing control and timed shut-down system. Provide one (1) NEMA 4 (watertight), emergency on/off station. Control system to be U.L. Listed.
